The prosecutor’s office of the DPR sent to court criminal case in relation to the Marine of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) Anton Baidrakov. He is accused of attempting to seize power and murder a hostage.

According to RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Baidrakou served in the 501st separate battalion of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the investigation of the criminal case, it turned out that he was involved in the commission of especially serious crimes on the territory of the DPR.

The Marine tried to seize and hold power in the Republic by force. In addition, he was charged with ill-treatment of civilians and the premeditated murder of a woman.

According to the investigation, a member of the Ukrainian army forcibly held her, and after some time shot her with automatic weapons.

Representatives of the DPR prosecutor’s office did not rule out that Baidrakov could be sentenced to death.
