Agrarians of the Odessa region have completed the harvesting of early grains – 2.5 million tons of early grains and legumes have been harvested.

This was reported in Facebook Alena Novichkova, press secretary of the head of the Odesa OVA, Ukrinform reports.

“Odessa region was the first in Ukraine to complete the collection of early grain crops. In 2022, 2.5 million tons of grain were harvested. In particular, winter wheat was harvested on an area of ​​627.3 thousand hectares and threshed 1.63 million tons,” Novichkova said.

According to her, the harvest of winter barley amounted to 692 thousand tons, and farmers also harvested 82.6 thousand tons of spring barley and 242.4 thousand tons of rapeseed.

As reported, on August 1, the export of Ukrainian grain was resumed – the ship Razoni, loaded with 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn, left the port of Odessa under the flag of Sierra Leone, which is now heading to the Lebanese port of Tripoli.

It is expected that on August 5, three more dry cargo ships carrying a total of more than 50,000 tons of corn will leave the ports of Odessa and Chernomorsk. In particular, from the port of Chornomorsk, the Polarnet ship will go to Karas (Turkey), and the Rojen ship will go to Teesport in England.

The third bulk carrier Navistar will leave the port of Odessa with corn destined for unloading in the Irish Ringaskidd.
