Education in all schools of Melitopol temporarily captured by the Russians in Zaporozhye will begin on September 1. The classes will be held online.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported in Telegram mayor Ivan Fedorov.
“The educational process in Melitopol schools will begin on September 1. The format of education is online,” the message says.
Fedorov noted that employees of the education department are developing a single online platform where assignments for students and all the necessary information about the educational process will be posted.
Parents of students who want to enroll in the 1st and 10th grades need to choose one of two ways to register: submit an application to the email of the school they have chosen, or fill out and submit an online form in the Telegram channel “Education of Melitopol” .
In a video commentary, Fedorov noted that the demand for studying in Melitopol schools is quite large. This, in his opinion, indicates a high level of teaching – as well as the fact that eight graduates this year received 200 points when passing the national multi-subject test.
As Ukrinform reported, on July 20, during a conference call with regional leaders, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the academic year should start on September 1 in full-time mode, where possible, and the protective structures of civil protection of educational institutions should be put in readiness for intended use.
