For the Ukrainian, this is the second award at the World Championships in Canada.

Ukrainian canoeist Lyudmila Luzan became the world champion in the 1000 meters, Ukrinform reports.

The Ukrainian overcame the distance in 4:47.90 minutes and became the fastest in the final. The second was the Chilean Maria Mailliard, the third – Annika Loske from Germany.

Earlier, the Ukrainian won silver in a pair with Anastasia Chetverikova among canoe-twos at a distance of 500 m.

This gold award was the debut for the Ukrainian at the level of the world championships in singles.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian national team at the World Cup in Canada already has 3 medals: gold, silver and bronze.
