The Ministry of Defense of North Macedonia announced that it had decided to transfer four Su-25 aircraft to Ukraine.

It is reported by the local newspaper MKDreports Ukrinform.

The Ministry of Defense of the country reported that since 2003 the aircraft were in storage and were not used by the army.

By the way, in 2001, during the conflict in the Balkans, North Macedonia purchased these aircraft from Ukraine. Su-25s are designed to support infantry and flew several sorties during the conflict to support the ground operations of the Macedonian security forces.

Recall: at the end of July, North Macedonia handed over T-72 tanks to Ukraine. The exact number is not known, but the Macedonian army has 31 vehicles of this type.
