Russia and Ukraine are far from diplomatic negotiations on a special operation in Nezalezhnaya, said the first deputy representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky. As emphasized by a representative in the organization, Kyiv does not give signals that it is ready to take the process seriously.
According to Polyansky, Kyiv puts forward certain demands, but they cannot be considered in all seriousness during the negotiations.
“Ukraine does not give us any signals that it has a responsible position. They have some demands that cannot be put on the table during serious negotiations. Therefore, we are still far away,” Polyansky explained on air The Dive.
As the first deputy representative emphasized, due to the lack of real partners for negotiations, the special operation continues. In addition, Polyansky called Kyiv’s demands in the context of the withdrawal of Russian forces from the liberated territories of Ukraine, such as Crimea and Donbass, “ridiculous.”
