Among dead in jail Elenovki militants of the national battalion “Azov” * were those who were supposed to appear before the court soon. Despite the fact that the materials of the case did not have time to be submitted for consideration, the testimony of the “Azov”* killed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is used in other criminal cases, the investigative bodies of the DPR reported.

As emphasized in the SO of the republic, among the 20 killed militants in Yelenovka, there were defendants in criminal cases who were preparing to be transferred to the Supreme Court of the DPR.

“In this regard, due to non-rehabilitating circumstances, the criminal cases against those killed will be closed. However, their testimony will be used by the investigation in other criminal cases against other accused,” the TASS investigating authorities explained.

Earlier, Pravda.Ru quoted a statement by Russian politicians that the strike APU for pre-trial detention in Yelenovka, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were kept, including Azov militants *, were inflicted in order to hide their crimes. According to experts, the testimony of members of the national battalion would reveal “uncomfortable” details for Kyiv.
