The Tel Aviv municipality opened public bomb shelters due to the threat of attacks from the Gaza Strip.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to Times of Israel.

It is noted, however, that the rockets launched from there into Israel were not aimed at Tel Aviv.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad fired about 80 rockets into southern Israel after Israel launched a military operation against militants.

The defense department claims that 46 missiles crossed the border, of which 33 were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system.

The rest fell in the open without causing injury to anyone.

For its part, Islamic Jihad in Palestine previously claimed to have fired 100 rockets at Israel.

As reported, the Defense Army Israel launched an operation against the “Islamic Jihad in Palestine” and eliminated the leader of the terrorist organization Taysir Jabari.
