According to the information received by the State Nuclear Regulatory Authority, as a result of the shelling, the nitrogen-oxygen station and the unified auxiliary building were damaged,” the report says.
At present, the Ukrainian personnel of the Zaporozhye nuclear power station precautionary measures have been taken to reduce the risk of explosions and fires at these facilities.
Also, as a result of the shelling, the high-voltage communication line 330 kV VRP of the ZNPP autotransformer – Zaporizhzhya TPP was damaged.
It is noted that as a result of the shelling at one of the power units, emergency protection worked, diesel generators turned on, ensuring the operation of security systems. The specified block is currently unloaded and offline.
“According to the information from the staff of Zaporizhzhya NPP, received directly by the specialists of the State Nuclear Regulatory Agency, as of 21:00 (Kyiv time), no changes in the radiation state at the site, in the sanitary protection zone and the NPP observation zone were recorded by standard radiation monitoring systems,” – noted in department.
The constant mode regulator monitors the radiation state at the Zaporozhye NPP.
The State Nuclear Regulatory Agency called on the world community to “take decisive measures to prevent the actions of the Russian occupiers,” which it considers necessary to interpret as nuclear terrorism.
“We call on the IAEA and other international organizations to exclude the Russian Federation from any international agreements as a party that resorted to nuclear blackmail, occupied facilities for the peaceful use of the atom and endangers the safe existence of the world,” the message says.
