Ukraine’s Defense Ministry says Russia has for the first time attacked Ukraine using a special long-range bomber.
They carried out the attack in the port city of Mariupol.
A spokesman for the country’s defense ministry, Colonel Alexander Motozhanek, said two high-powered Russian TU-95 / -160 bombers had carried out a cruise missile attack on April 14.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station in Krasnodar, Russia.
The spokesman added that for the first time since the start of the military offensive, Russia has dropped the TU-22M3 long-range bomber. The bomber struck shortly after noon in Mariupol.
Colonel Alexander Motozhanek added that Russia was now focusing on occupying the eastern Ukrainian cities of Ruby and Popasna and the southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
He added that fighting is now taking place in Oligoli in Mariupol. The war is taking place in areas that Russia has not yet occupied.
Colonel Alexander Motozianek also said that the Ilyich Steel and Iron Factory in Mariupol and the port were fighting fiercely.
