Shawn O’Malley could face Pedro Munhoz in his next fight at UFC 276 in July.
The two are said to have agreed in a verbal agreement to be involved. “Sugar” will face his top ten opponents, whom he has been keeping an eye on for a while. Meanwhile, Munhos will want to break his ultimate rocky race when he faces Rocky Warriors.
UFC 276 pay-per-view is set at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Middleweight champions Israel Adesnia and Jared Cannon are expected to top the cards.
Footage leaked from the UFC matchmaking room confirmed some of the scheduled card fights. Khamjat Chimayev and Nat Diaz pay-per-view joint could clash at the main event. Shawn Strickland and Alex Pereira could compete in the middleweight division. In addition, fans can watch the women’s flyweight competition between Lauren Murphy and Misha Tate.
The final look of Shawn O’Malley and Pedro Munhoz
O’Malley is currently ranked 13th in the UFC’s 135-pound division, while Moonhose is ranked 10th.
“Sugar” has a winning streak in three fights since losing to Marlon Vera. He has beaten Thomas Almeida, Chris Moutinho and Raulian Piva in his last three matches and all those wins have come through the final touches.
Meanwhile, ‘The Young Punisher’ is on a double slip at the moment, having dropped the decision in his last two matches against former UFC champions Dominic Cruz and Jose Aldo. The 35-year-old is 1-4 in the last five fights inside the Octagon.
O’Malley, 27, is a former participant in the Dana White competition series. He will look to rise to the top ten in the bantamweight weight class with his win in July.
In the case of Mahnauj, another rate could put him in a difficult position. Despite his recent slip, the Brazilian is an experienced player and one of the best fighters in the 135-pound division. This is by no means an easy fight for O’Malley.
