St. Simmons Island, Ga. (April 20, 2022) Vanderbilt took a three-shot lead by firing 7-under par (273) on the first day of the 2022 SEC Men’s Golf Tournament at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Louis. Simmons Island, Georgia.

Georgia is second with 26 points, LSU is third with 26 points, Texas A&M (269) and Florida and Missouri fifth (262). Mississippi and Kentucky are seventh (285) and Auburn and South Carolina are ninth (286) ahead of Arkansas 288, Alabama (290), Tennessee (292) and Ole Miss (294).

Ryan Hall of South Carolina scored 4-under 66 in the lowest round of the day. Vanderbilt’s Reid Davenport and Gordon Sergeant, Georgia’s Trent Phillips, Texas A&M’s Fishhaxon Maichan and LSU’s Drew Doyle and Cohen Truliu all scored 3-under. 67.

This year marks the 21st year for the Southeast Conference Championship, which will be held at the Sea Island Golf Club in St. Petersburg. Simmons Island, Georgia. There will be an extra two days of playing strokes, followed by Saturdays and Sundays. Sunday’s championship match will be broadcast live on the SEC network.
