In Karachay-Cherkessia, a supporter of the “Right Sector” * was detained, who was preparing a terrorist attack against the authorities and the military. This was reported today by RIA Novosti with reference to the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

“In the city of Cherkessk, a local resident, a Russian citizen born in 1992, an adherent of neo-Nazi ideology, was identified and detained.

At the direction of the terrorist organization, the detainee intended to blow up the prosecutor’s office and the military registration and enlistment office, and then hide on the territory of Ukraine.

During a search at the place of residence and in the hiding place, FSB officers found two homemade bombs, each with a capacity of about 3 kg of TNT, components of explosive devices, extremist symbols, diagrams of approaches to the buildings of the prosecutor’s office and the military registration and enlistment office, as well as correspondence with members of the “Right Sector” * .

A criminal case has been opened on preparation for a terrorist attack and participation in an extremist organization.

According to the detainee, having committed a terrorist attack, he was supposed to leave by train for Belgorod, where he was supposed to be “taken away to join the Right Sector” *. However, his plans were not destined to come true. Now he is facing criminal liability for preparing for a terrorist attack.
