A new report from the Bankless Times shows that smartphones have been exposed to high levels of RF. These radiation levels are ranked based on a specific absorption ratio or SAR value. This rank is mentioned on the back of the box of each smartphone. Only then is it allowed to sell in the market, which the buyer buys consciously while buying it.
SAR values are measured in watts per kilogram (W / Kg). The tolerable SAR limit in India has been fixed at 1.66 W / Kg. In the list of smartphones given in the report, some of the phones that are very close to this range are also found in India. OnePlus, Google and Oppo are among the smartphones sold near the SAR limit in this country. The report also found that Motorola and Sony Xperia were among the world’s most dangerous smartphones.

The smartphone with the highest SAR level according to the Indian limit is the OnePlus 6T with a standard of 1.55 W / Kg, which is close to the country-approved limit. It is followed by Google Pixel 3XL and Google Pixel 4a, which emit 1.39 W / kg and 1.37 W / kg radiofrequencies, respectively. Although all these smartphones are within the SAR range in India. However, it is important to be aware of this.
